About Night Tales

Night Tales is a free horror audio library in the creepypasta tradition. Every episode is a self-contained short story — roughly five to fifteen minutes — narrated and ready to listen in your browser. No account, no subscription, no ads interrupting the dark part.

What is creepypasta?

Creepypasta is internet horror fiction — short, often anonymous scary stories that have been passed around online since the early 2000s. The name is a play on “copypasta,” internet slang for copy-pasted text. Creepypastas are typically written in a confessional first-person voice, presenting themselves as real accounts. The best ones weaponise everyday settings — a familiar video game, a childhood TV show, a house you grew up in — and make them feel permanently wrong.

The genre gave us Slender Man, The Backrooms, Jeff the Killer, Ben Drowned, and hundreds of lesser-known stories that are genuinely terrifying. Night Tales publishes original audio episodes in this tradition, and maintains a Hall of Fame of the most iconic community stories with full lore breakdowns.
